Na’aisha “MalikaB” Austin is a brilliant artist and maven of many trades and art forms. Her aim is to reach the globe with a multiethnic and multicultural appeal. One that humanizes the cultures and arts forms or black and brown communities worldwide. MalikaB strives to offer content that provides excitement, entertainment, and colorful inspiration. She also provides holistic doula support from her business Malika Maternity that is culturally relevant and sensitive to her clients and helps to increase positive birth outcomes, in black and brown communities. She is twice certified through La Matrona in Asheville, NC in Quantum Doula Techniques.

MalikaB commenced her foray into the online world with her casual and upscale diva street style and has pivoted into the YouTube and Instagram platform. She hopes to ameliorate and enhance the journeys of her readers and clients. Through artistic refinement and encouragement; that allows them to realize their highest resonance and their authentic voices in fashion, maternal wellness, writing and design. MalikaB’s content is fashionable and art-driven, and transcends to encompass beauty, diasporic culture, and maternal wellness.  

Having lived within two very distinct culture landscapes has imprinted, and molded her aesthetic discernment and artistic intuitiveness, she states often. MalikaB attributes her taste in fashion and jewelry, first to her biggest style influencer, her mother designer Shukuru. Whose style was brassy, bold and architectural. Yet also MalikaB is a genre-bender when it comes to fashion, wearing a multitude of fashion styles. Ranging from radiant, tailored, to eclectic couture and moody 90’s streetwear. She can be often seen coveting and adorned in green, which brings about an idyllic peace found in the forested suburbs of Atlanta; brilliant, chic and cool with inspiration from her hometown in St. Louis; to a luxurious, picturesque and paradisal beauty and sense of being when on her global travels. “Fashion and artistry are forever evolving and growing into new heights, far beyond the galaxies we see in the sky. Inspiration is all one. We all are circular and cyclical and borrow concepts from the vantage points of what is defined as art, life and culture in some way. I intend to draw the direct lines between those connections through fashion, music and human connection.”
